Tele-orientation Pre-registration Information

Please read and understand the following before continuing.

Registration and Payment information:

• Please make sure you register for the program orientation specific to the Children's Residential facility license you are interested in applying for.
• Registration and payment must be completed at least 1 week prior to the date of the orientation.
• There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee per person, per class.
• All payments will be processed online via credit card.
• You will receive a receipt of your payment by email.
• Each participant must have a unique e-mail address to register. Do not use the same email address for multiple participants.
• Orientations are not transferable to another person.

Enrollment confirmation information:

Once your enrollment is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent to you with instructions including a link to join the orientation via Microsoft Teams. If you do not receive your confirmation e-mail three days prior to orientation, please call the Regional Office that is hosting the scheduled orientation for instructions and verification.

About the online platform, Microsoft Teams:

The orientations will be facilitated live, conducted via Microsoft Teams. You must have online access and a computer with a microphone and speakers or headset (closed captions will be available for the hearing impaired). Please make sure to download the Microsoft Teams App and familiarize yourself with the App prior to the scheduled orientation.

On the orientation date:

• You must be on time. Late arrivals will not be admitted to the session.
• For verification purposes, we must obtain a copy of your identification prior to the orientation date.
• Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes prior to the session start time to verify registration and to ensure you are connected to Microsoft Teams.
• The orientation session will last 2-3 hours; you must be present for the entire orientation to receive an orientation certificate which will be e-mailed within a week after orientation.
• There will be other participants on the tele-orientation. Please be courteous to other attendees by making sure you are in a quiet location with no distractions/interruptions.
• Each attendee will wait in the virtual lobby until they are checked in one at a time. Please be patient during this process.
